About

Hey, I'm Sarah.

I'm the founder, designer, packer, and frequent post office regular behind Heartpost Studio. I'm also a wife and mama to two little girls, which means I get to test every idea on my toughest (and most honest) focus group.

Heartpost started with a simple idea: children should still know the magic of sending real mail. In a world where everything moves at the speed of a screen tap, there's something quietly powerful about putting pen to paper, sealing an envelope, and waiting for one to come back with your name on it. I wanted to build something that made that experience feel exciting again. Not like a chore, but like the small adventure it actually is.

Every Little Letter Box is a complete pen pal kit and snail mail kit, made for children just starting out with real letters. It gives them everything they need to write, decorate, address, and send mail, all in one beautifully packed kit. The goal isn't just nostalgia (though there's plenty of that for the grown-ups paying attention). It's handwriting practice, creative expression, and the small confidence boost that comes from finishing something with your own two hands.

I run this studio out of Folsom, California, and yes, it's a small operation. Right now it's mostly me, a lot of late nights, and a growing list of children who've discovered that getting mail is even better than sending it. I'm building Heartpost into something bigger: new product lines, partnerships with summer camps and schools, and eventually a full creative brand around the lost art of writing things down.

A piece of this work that means a lot to me personally: I spent years volunteering with Camp Okizu, a nonprofit summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings. For every Little Letter Box and Summer Camp Letter Box sold in May and June 2026, I donate a mini letter kit to their campers. Connection through mail isn't just a marketing line for me. It's something I've watched matter, up close.

Thanks for being here. If you've ever lit up at the sight of your own name on an envelope, you already get it.

xo, Sarah
